K Law acted for NestAway and existing investor IDG Ventures with a team headed by Bangalore Partner Abhinav Singh; Senior Associate Puneet Parihar and Associate Keertan Sreekumar. Whereas Nishith Desai Associates Mumbai's Karan Kalra and Abhinav Harlalka acted for Tiger and DST.
Tiger Global also drew in long-standing international and US legal adviser New York based, Gunderson Dettmer and DST's non-Indian law advice was led by New York-based General Counsel Breck Hancock and assistant GC Matthew Brush.
According to a source, "NestAway manages a homeowner's rental property throughout the rental life cycle, from showing the house to a prospective tenant and closing the rental agreement to collecting rent on the owner's behalf and assisting the tenant and owner during move-out. The company charges a small percentage of the monthly rent it generates from the house as commission". The deal was ended in May.
