Rs 500 crore ($ 77 million) raised by Policybazaar


In a Series E funding round, Rs 500 crore ($ 77 million) has been raised by online insurance selling platform Policybazaar, which is operated by ETechAces Marketing and Consulting Pvt. Ltd.

True North, IDG Venture Partners and Boston-based assets management firm Wellington Management Group had participated in the round, among others.

Samvad Partners acted for ETechAces Marketing and Consulting with a team led by Partner Ashwini Vittalachar along with Senior Associate Junaira Rahman and Associate Riddhima P. Murjani.

Khaitan & Co advised Temasek with a team led by Partner Aakash Choubey.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Partner Maheshwari Sundaresh acted for Premji Invest.

Gunderson Dettmer advised Tiger Global Management and the team was led by Partner Jorge Solis.

Truenorth was advised by its in-house counsel Jolly Abraham.
