Brazilian Girl Raped In Cuffe Parade

Raped

Mumbai Police arrested Cuffe Parade Residents Association president, Padmakar Nandekar, for allegedly raping a 19-year old Brazilian girl. The girl had stayed with the Nandekars for six months before relocating with another family in Bandra in March this year. She is in India under a youth exchange programme.

Nandekar, 52, had taken the girl for dinner in a five-star hotel in suburban Mumbai. He is alleged to have spiked her drink due to which she fell unconscious. She did not remember what happened after that and woke up to find herself with Nandekar the following morning.

In a state of shock when she reached her guardian family’s home in Bandra she informed them about the previous evening’s incident after some time. The family contacted Cuffe Parade Police and had an FIR filed in the case. After some preliminary investigations, Nandekar was picked up from his home on Monday, May 21 and remanded to police custody till May 24.
