New Chief Justices recommended for 5 High Courts: Collegium

The Supreme Court appointed Collegium has recommended names for new Chief Justices in five high courts of the country.

According to the Collegium recommendations, Justice Jyotirmay Bhattacharya, who is the Acting Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court, has been promoted as the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.

The Acting Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, Justice Antony Dominic is also slated to get promotion as his name is recommended for the post of the Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, while Justice Abhilasha Kumari of Gujarat High Court has been recommended as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court.

The Collegium has further proposed the name of the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Justice T B Radhakrishnan as the new Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court.

If the recommendations go through, Himachal Pradesh High Court will get a new Chief Justice in Surya Kant.
