Gennext Business & Law Congress 2018
“Nothing is more powerful than an idea whose time has come,” said French poet, novelist and dramatist extraordinaire, Victor Hugo.
This is perhaps the most apt definition of India today and its Prime Minister’s vision to render it the second largest economy of the world by 2050.
Business law is witnessing a sea change in terms of reforms, with newer policies being introduced and older ones being amended. The tax regime is experiencing a major overhaul with the introduction of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) and changes in the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code among other modifications set to improve India’s ranking in the global market. Overseeing the nation’s development agenda is an ambitious PM who is unwaveringly focused on making India a leading business destination. On our part, we can only contribute to this larger agenda by collaborating with industry leaders and professionals in furthering our PM’s vision of taking India to the next level of growth and opportunity.
With this in mind, we are proud to announce the 7TH ANNUAL GENNEXT BUSINESS CONGRESS 2018 which is based on the theme, “Impact of Regulatory Regimes, Global Developments & Future Strategies”.
The two-day Congress will be choc-a-bloc with insightful and interactive sessions on a wide range of topics, including definition of growth at the time of policy reforms, liberalization as an integral part of globalization, steps to be taken today for a better tomorrow, need for collaborative ideation, the Kotak Committee Report on corporate governance, GST, IBC, investment opportunities, M&A, IP and IPR policy, asset recovery, anti-corruption legislation, controlling cybercrime, corporate fraud, and business 2020.
Driving these discussions will be leading business professionals, promoters of companies, Directors, CEOs, and lawyers who will share their views and experiences on India’s progress, the impact of government policy reforms, and how industry can adapt to and flourish under these changes to attract greater investment into the country.
The 7TH ANNUAL GENNEXT BUSINESS CONGRESS 2018, organized by Legal Era Magazine, will be held at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai, India, on 23rd and 24th March 2018.
