Government appoints five new High Court Chief Justices

The Collegium of Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana had recommended their appointment last month

The Central Government has notified the appointment of five new chief justices to various high courts in the country after due consultation and discussions.

The names of the elevated judges are:

Justice Vipin Sanghi (presently in Delhi High Court to be transferred to Uttarakhand High Court).

Justice AA Sayed (presently in Bombay High Court to be transferred to Himachal Pradesh High Court).

Justice SS Shinde (presently in Bombay High Court to be transferred to Rajasthan High Court).

Justice Rashmin M Chhaya (presently in Gujarat High Court to be transferred to Guwahati High Court).

Justice Ujjal Bhuyan (presently in Telangana High Court to the same high court).
