Hermes Takes Down Counterfeiters: Delhi High Court Grants Interim Injunction
Luxury Fashion Brand Secures Victory Against Counterfeit Products
The Delhi High Court grants an interim injunction to Hermes International, a renowned luxury fashion brand, in a trademark infringement case against M/s Coco J. The court's order restrains Coco J from manufacturing, selling, and marketing products that infringe Hermes' registered trademarks.
According to the court's order, Coco J was found to be selling counterfeit products, including lookalikes of Hermes' iconic 'KELLY' and 'BIRKIN' bags and infringing their registered trademarks such as 'H ORAN'. The court observed that the sale of products named 'JELLY KELLY', 'CANVAS KELLY', 'KIN BAGS', and 'ADELE BAGS' by Coco J prima facie infringed Hermes' trademarks.
The court's decision highlights the importance of protecting intellectual property rights, particularly in the luxury goods industry.
In this case Hermes International was represented by team Anand & Anand led by Mr. Pravin Anand, Ms. Sugandha Yadav and Ms. Tusha Malhotra, Advocates.
