Supreme Court Collegium approves Four Additional Judges of Karnataka High Court to be appointed as Permanent Judges

The Supreme Court Collegium on 21st January, 2021 approved the proposal for appointment of four Additional Judges of Karnataka High Court as Permanent Judges. The resolution to that effect was passed by the Supreme Court Collegium on 16th December, 2020.

The Additional Judges who have been appointed as permanent judges are:

Justice Singapuram Raghavachar Krishna Kumar;

Justice Ashok Subhashchandra Kinagi;

Justice Suraj Govindaraj;

Justice Sachin Shankar Magadum.

The Supreme Court Collegium lead by Chief Justice of India S. A. Bobde in a meeting held on 16th December, 2020 approved the proposal which was uploaded on the Apex Court website on 20th January, 2021.

Besides Chief Justice Bobde, Justices N.V. Ramana, R.F. Nariman, U.U. Lalit and A.M. Khanwilkar are part of the five-judge Collegium.
