Supreme Court Collegium recommends 11 Punjab & Haryana High Court additional judges to become permanent

They were all appointed to the position on 16 August 2022

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended that 11 additional judges of the Punjab & Haryana High Court should be appointed as permanent judges.

The names of the judges are - Justice Nidhi Gupta, Justice Sanjay Vashisth, Justice Tribhuvan Dahiya, Justice Namit Kumar, Justice Harkesh Manuja, Justice Aman Chaudhary, Justice Naresh Singh Shekhawat, Justice Harsh Bunger, Justice Jagmohan Bansal, Justice Deepak Manchanda, and Justice Alok Jain.

The Collegium of the Punjab & Haryana High Court had unanimously recommended their appointment as Permanent Judges in May.

Meanwhile, the Chief Ministers and Governors of the States of Punjab and Haryana concurred with the proposal.
