Baker McKenzie advised Kimberly-Clark on its strategic partnership with Suzano to establish a leading international tissue and professional products company. Under the terms of the agreement, Kimberly-Clark will hold a 49% stake, while Suzano will hold a 51% interest in the new venture, which will comprise substantially all of Kimberly-Clark’s International Family Care and Professional business assets.

The transaction marks a significant step in Kimberly-Clark’s global growth strategy, creating a robust platform for innovation and expansion across international markets. The partnership aims to combine operational expertise and market reach to strengthen competitiveness in the global tissue and professional products sector.

Baker McKenzie provided comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of the transaction, including corporate, tax, employment, real estate, and regulatory matters, reflecting its strength as a transactional powerhouse with more than 2,700 deal practitioners across 40+ jurisdictions.
