Apple has filed a lawsuit in a California court against YouTuber Jon Prosser and Michael Ramacciotti, accusing them of misappropriating trade secrets related to the upcoming iPhone software update, iOS 26. According to Apple, Ramacciotti allegedly accessed confidential information from an Apple employee’s phone and passed it to Prosser, who then published it on Front Page Tech, his YouTube channel.
Prosser’s video reportedly showcased unreleased features from iOS 26, including a simplified camera app, a redesigned messages app, and a new liquid glass interface. Apple further stated that the employee, Ethan Lipnik, was dismissed for failing to safeguard the development device.
Apple is now seeking damages and injunctive relief to prevent further disclosure of its trade secrets.
