BCLP advised Roy Kombucha on its acquisition by BRLO
International law firm BCLP advised Berlin‑based beverage producer Roy Kombucha on the sale of its business operations to Berlin brewery BRLO.
Roy Kombucha produces tea‑based kombucha beverages and distributes them across various sales channels in Germany and abroad. Following the transaction, Roy Kombucha has been part of the BRLO group since 1 February 2026. The acquisition enables BRLO to broaden its brand portfolio and strengthen its offering in the non‑alcoholic beverages segment.
BRLO and Roy Kombucha have been working closely together for two years: since 2024, Roy Kombucha has been using BRLO’s production facility in Berlin‑Spandau for its own brewing and bottling. The integration is intended to unlock further synergies in production and distribution and to consolidate the respective competencies within the group.
The BCLP team was led by Dr. Albrecht von Breitenbuch (Partner), Valeria Podmogilni (Associate), Dr. Julia Schweitzer (Partner), Dr. Kristin Frohne (Senior Associate), as well as Dominik Weiss (Partner),and Christian Spatz (Counsel).
