DLA Piper Advised Valhalla Ventures in Raising $66 Million Fund
DLA Piper provided legal counsel to Valhalla Ventures (Valhalla), an emerging investment management firm specialising in deeptech and gaming, during the successful establishment of a $66 million venture capital fund.
The secured funds will enable Valhalla to make strategic investments in seed-stage companies operating within the realm of deeptech, encompassing domains like materials science, biology, space technology, and beyond. Additionally, Valhalla will allocate resources to gaming enterprises that prioritise immersive social experiences. Having already invested in 15 startups since the beginning of 2022, the firm is committed to further expanding its portfolio with new investments continuing until early 2025.

Alongside Tuchman based in Los Angeles, the DLA Piper fund formation team comprised partner Aalok Virmani from Chicago, as well as associates David Pennant from Philadelphia and Michael Huseby from Seattle. Partner Imri Eisner, located in New York, represented Valhalla in its deal-related endeavours.
