The premier global law firm, Morgan Lewis advised ABFA Investments Ltd, a Dubai-headquartered private investment company, on its joint venture with Lycée Français Jean Mermoz (LFJM) for the Phase II development of the existing K-12 school campus of LFJM in Al Barsha, Dubai.

The mandate included structuring, drafting, and negotiating joint venture arrangements and ancillary documents relating to ABFA’s equity investment in the development. The project is situated on a land plot held under a musataha right, a UAE analogue of a building lease or superficies right, granted by the Knowledge Fund Establishment. This transaction marks ABFA’s first investment in the regional education sector.
