Osborne Clarke Announces 6 New Partners and 6 Legal Directors in Latest UK Promotions

In its recent UK promotions round, Osborne Clarke has elevated six lawyers to the position of partner and six others to legal director. The promotions cover various practice areas, such as litigation, data protection, and venture capital. Osborne Clarke is among the top 25 law firms in the UK.

This year's promotion round at Osborne Clarke saw a slight improvement compared to the previous year, with six lawyers being promoted to partner (up from eight in the previous year) and an equal number to the legal director (up from one in the previous year).

Furthermore, the proportion of women promoted has significantly increased from 44 per cent in the previous year to 67 per cent this year.

"We're strategically growing our business to capitalise on opportunities within the UK and internationally. With half of this year's cohort and a number of lateral joiners in the UK during the last year from our disputes and risk practice group, we're investing in talent that we feel will strengthen new and existing client relationships as we go forward," Conrad Davies, UK managing partner at Osborne Clarke, said.

Four lawyers have been promoted to partner at the firm’s London office. Robert Adjetey, a contentious construction expert, and Tom Frapwell, who advises financial services clients on international disputes, investigations and contentious insolvencies, are among those promoted.

The two other partners in the London office are Nina Lazic, a litigator who specialises in cyber security, contentious data privacy, and complex commercial disputes, and Emma McPeake, a commercial real estate transactions lawyer.

Completing the partner promotions are two lawyers from Bristol: Georgina Graham, who specialises in advising clients in the technology, media, communications, retail, and energy sectors on data protection and privacy compliance, and James Taylor, who focuses on transactions covering venture capital, growth capital, and private equity markets.

Three of the newly promoted legal directors, Katherine King, Elizabeth Shanahan, and Shona Toms, are located in Bristol, while Sarah Beard and Jeremy Godley are based in London. The final promotion went to Dawn Troman, who is based in Reading. Their practices cover various areas, such as real estate finance transactions, regulatory compliance, commercial disputes, corporate tax, and commercial transactions.

“It's an absolute pleasure to congratulate our six colleagues who have achieved promotion to partner this year. The dedication they have shown to the firm and to our clients has paid off, and this new role marks the next chapter in their careers,” Conrad Davies added.
