Infosys has mentioned in a filing to stock exchanges that the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) and the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Karnataka, have sought information about the anonymous complaints and allegations made by whistleblowers recently.

It has also been asked by the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BSE for “further information” related to the whistleblower complaints.

The company has received letters from the secretary, National Financial Reporting Authority and the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Karnataka, seeking certain information in connection with the above, the filing stated.

Additionally, the company has also received letters from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India Ltd and the BSE Ltd seeking further information in relation to the anonymous whistleblower complaints, Infosys stated in a regulatory filing, adding that it would provide the information as per requests.

Earlier, Infosys has stated that speculations of co-founders and former employees being involved in the recent whistleblower allegations were “appalling" and seem to be aimed at tarnishing the image of some of “the most accomplished and respected individuals”.

Infosys condemned the "mischievous insinuations made by anonymous sources against the cofounders and former colleagues, suggesting their involvement in the recent whistleblower allegations".

“These speculations are appalling and seem to be aimed at tarnishing the image of some of the most accomplished and respected individuals. I have deep regard for the life-long contribution of all our cofounders,” Infosys Chairman Nandan Nilekani has stated in a statement to stock exchanges.
