Akshay Nagpal
A corporate commercial lawyer with more than 15 years of experience of working in leading Indian national law firms, a US white shoe international law firm and largest aviation company in India. At law firms, my focus has been on M&A, joint ventures, infrastructure, media and corporate commercial contracts. As an in house counsel, had a leadership role and focused on complex aircraft acquisition contracts, aircraft leasing contracts, aircraft part procurement and maintenance contracts, IT solutions procurement and revenue generation commercial contracts. As an in house counsel, I enjoyed stakeholder management, learning viewing of issues from a commercial-legal perspective and the art of providing business solutions to legal problem. With this experience I feel I can understand the needs of a corporate obtaining legal services much better. Having experience of working with an international law firm in New York and being admitted in New York bar, I understand the international best practices and has a strong ability to deal with foreign parties and cross-border transactions. The industry focus (including understanding the way these businesses work and regulatory framework governing them) is in Aviation, Media and Broadcasting, Automobiles (including Electric Vehicles), Telecommunications and Infrastructure. Akshay is also a key speaker at various external forums including industry forums.
