Apple Fined 10 Million Euros by Italy's Antitrust for Misleading Commercial Practices

Apple has been fined 10 million euros ($12 million) for "aggressive and misleading" commercial practices related to its iPhones.

According to Italy's antitrust authority, Apple advertisements said that many iPhone models were Italy water-resistant but did not make it clear that they were so only under some conditions. Further, Apple's disclaimer that its iPhones were not covered by warranty in the event of damage from liquids fooled customers who did not get support when their phones were damaged by water or other liquids.
