The Global law firm Dechert LLP has welcomed Anish Desai (Partner) and Priyata Patel (Partner) to its intellectual property group, further bolstering its litigation capabilities across life sciences and technology sectors. Desai joins the firm’s New York office, while Patel is based in Washington, D.C.

Anish Desai (Partner) joins Dechert as a seasoned IP litigator with extensive experience in handling complex patent disputes across federal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Prior to joining Dechert, he was a Partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and previously spent over 16 years at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. He began his legal career at McDermott Will & Emery and also worked as an Analyst at Deloitte.

She joins from Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where she served as Partner. Prior to that, she held roles at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, including Counsel and Associate, and also served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Kathleen O’Malley at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
