According to sources, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Mumbai Partner and Financial Practice Regulatory Head Ipsita Dutta had resigned from the firm to join Morgan Stanley as an in the legal department.

In confirmation to her resignation Managing Partner Cyril Shroff said, "We are very pleased for Ipsita. She is exploring new ground and we wish her the very best." Shroff added, "It is a fairly deep practice and the next level and the rest of the team is fully ready to take the practice forward. They will grow even faster in this exciting practice."

Ipsita joined CAM in 2012. Her husband, Indranath Bishnu is a partner at the firm and also a part of the General Corporate team. From past four months, several Cyril Amarchand partners across Mumbai and Delhi took an exit.

In Mumbai, JP Morgan's Ruetveij Pandya and IDFC Alternatives' Senior Director and Head - Legal & Compliance, Shagoofa R Khan have joined as Partners. Both will be joined by JSA's Manisha Kumar and Gautam Gandotra, who have also been brought in as Partners. Another Partner hire has been that of Shardul Amarchand's Asim Abbas, who has joined as TMT Partner.

In addition, Khaitan & Co's Anshuman Sakle has joined as Competition Partner, possibly to offset the loss of Uberoi. In Delhi, Percival Billimoria has joined as Head of the Delhi office, bring along his team to the firm.
