The leading law firm in India, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas represented a consortium of lenders comprising MUFG Bank, Ltd and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, GIFT City Branch, in providing financing in the form of external commercial borrowing (ECB) facilities, guarantee facilities and related hedge facilities to Rajasthan Part I Power Transmission Limited (RPPTL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL).
The financing is being extended for part funding the development of a critical HVDC transmission project comprising 6000 MW, 800 kV terminal stations at Bhadla and Fatehpur, interconnecting transformers, HVDC lines between the stations, and Line-in-Line-out (LILO) of certain circuits at Fatehpur, across the states of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.
