Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Suzlon Energy Limited on SEBI Show Cause Notice proceedings

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Suzlon Energy Limited (“SEL”/“Company”) and certain of its directors and erstwhile key managerial personnel (“Noticees”) in connection with the Show Cause Notice (“SCN”) dated November 09, 2022, issued by SEBI. The SCN related to certain transactions between the Company and its domestic subsidiaries and the alleged non-disclosure of a contingent liability in the Company’s financial statements for the years 2013–14 to 2017–18.

The matter was heard by SEBI’s Adjudicating Officer on May 22, 2025. On June 27, 2025, SEBI passed an order finding that the alleged violations were not established, thereby disposing of the proceedings against the Noticees without imposing any penalty.

The matter at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldaswas concluded under the guidance of L. Viswanathan (Senior Partner). The team comprised Vasudha Goenka (Partner), supported by Darshan Furia and Sangram Mallick (Principal Associates), Arnav Misra (Senior Associate), and Kushal Tekriwal and Haryashwasingh Thakore (Associates).
