Dentons advised Ardonagh Group to procure Envest for AU$482 million

Dentons in Australia advised Ardonagh, UK-based insurance broker on its deal to procure Envest, an insurance investment and distribution company, which is situated in Brisbane, Queensland.

Dentons counselled Ardonagh throughout the entire process, till the signing including the drafting of the transaction agreements, due diligence, regulatory matters, and making arrangements for equity and debt financing. Dentons will keep advising Ardonagh till the transaction is accomplished. Regarding foreign investment clearance, counsel for one of Ardonagh's significant shareholders provided advice. Headed by CEO, Des O'Connor, Envest will function as part of Ardonagh Global Partners.

"We were proud to assist Ardonagh on its introduction into the Australian market early 2021. We have been pleased to continue supporting Ardonagh's M&A growth strategy here," stated Alex Eyre (Adelaide) lead partner. "It is an honour to provide advice to Ardonagh as they expand and strengthen their platform in the Australian market and begin this brand-new fascinating journey with Envest," he added.

Des O'Connor, CEO, Ardonagh, comments, "This is an extremely corresponding acquisition, unifying tidily with our Group's footprint both internationally and in the Australian market. It has grown significantly since our maiden investment in Resilium in February 2021. It offers a validated platform that will benefit our growth aspirations in the region."

Alissa Pfitzner (General Counsel at Ardonagh Global Partners), Caroline Snow (Partner in Brisbane), Jay Nguyen (Special Counsel in Adelaide), Kyla Brose (Senior Associate in Brisbane), and Jack Williams (Associate in Adelaide), all played crucial roles while receiving support from a larger team.
