Leading private equity firm represented by cross-border team on €21 billion acquisition of Belron

Hellman & Friedman was advised by Latham & Watkins on its investment in Belron, alongside accounts and funds managed by BlackRock Private Equity Partners and GIC. Belron gets an enterprise value of €21 billion due to this transaction. After the existing shareholders D'Ieteren and CD&R, Hellman & Friedman becomes the third largest shareholder of Belron with a c.9% fully diluted shareholding.

Belron is the global leader in repair and replacement of vehicle glass and via wholly-owned businesses and franchises with market leaders like Autoglass, Safelite and Carglass, operates in 40 countries.

London corporate partners David Walker and Huw Thomas with Boston corporate partner Neal Reenan and associates Alex McCarney and Antonina Semyachkova led the Latham team.
