Khaitan & Co advised Kalpataru Projects International Limited on the divestment of Vindhyachal Expressway Private Limited

The leading law firm in India, Khaitan & Co advised Kalpataru Projects International Limited (“KPIL”) on the divestment of its entire 100% equity shareholding in Vindhyachal Expressway Private Limited (“VEPL”), a wholly owned special purpose vehicle holding a long-term concession for the development, operation and maintenance of an approximately 89.30-kilometre four-lane road project on National Highway-7 connecting Rewa and Hanumana at the Madhya Pradesh–Uttar Pradesh border. The project was implemented on a toll-based public-private partnership model.

The transaction resulted in KPIL’s complete exit from the project through the transfer of its entire ownership interest in VEPL.
