Khaitan & Co advised Manulife on its investment in a 50-50 greenfield life insurance joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited

The Leading Law firm in India, Khaitan & Co, along with Debevoise & Plimpton, advised Canada-based Manulife on its investment in a 50-50 greenfield life insurance joint venture in India with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, subject to regulatory approval. Both joint venture partners have committed to infuse a total of INR 7,200 crore (~USD 800 million) into the insurance JV within the first 10 years of incorporation.
