Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Brookfield India Real Estate Trust on its maiden sustainability-linked bond issuance

The leading law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co acted as legal counsel to Brookfield India Real Estate Trust, represented by Brookprop Management Services Private Limited, in connection with its maiden issuance of sustainability-linked listed bonds aggregating to INR 2,000 crore. The issuance was undertaken on a private placement basis under the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (SEBI) Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) Debt Securities framework.

International Finance Corporation acted as the anchor investor, while Barclays Bank PLC served as the arranger for the transaction

The transaction SAM team was led by Shilpa Mankar Ahluwalia (Partner and Co-Head – Banking & Finance) and Anjana Potti (Partner), with support from Sandeep Singh Grewal (Senior Associate) and Dhwanit Rathor (Associate).
