Clifford Chance advised EDF Energy Customers on acquisition of Pod Point

Clifford Chance advised EDF Energy Customers (“EDF”) on its acquisition of Pod Point, one of the UK’s leading electric vehicle charging networks. EDF, already the largest shareholder in Pod Point, will now assume full ownership, enabling the company to align more closely with EDF’s long-term strategic goals in the areas of public and residential EV charging, energy flexibility, and home energy management.

With this acquisition, Pod Point is expected to benefit from enhanced access to long-term capital and EDF’s broader capabilities, strengthening its position in the UK's fast-evolving EV charging infrastructure market.
