Portal Biotech is pioneering AI-backed protein sequencing technology poised to significantly advance drug discovery, precision medicine, and global biosecurity.
The funding round was led by the NATO Innovation Fund, a venture capital fund supported by 24 NATO allies, alongside Earlybird Venture Capital. This marks the NATO Innovation Fund’s first investment in a biotechnology company, aligned with its mission to enhance defences against biological threats.
The Covington team was led by Ben Land-Maycock (Partner), with support from Hannah Berry (Associate) and Ross Evans (Special Counsel).
