K&L Gates advised Wesbanco on its acquisition of Premier Financial Corp.

K&L Gates LLP served as co-counsel to Wesbanco, Inc. (Nasdaq: WSBC) in connection with its acquisition of Premier Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: PFC) in a stock-for-stock merger, under which Wesbanco issued approximately 28.8 million shares of its common stock as merger consideration.

The completed transaction establishes a regional financial services institution with approximately USD 27 billion in assets, delivering significant economies of scale and strong pro forma profitability metrics. Wesbanco now operates across more than 250 financial centers and loan production offices spanning Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
