Pinsent Masons advised IFC on $160 million blue finance investment in Mongolia
The global law firm, Pinsent Masons, has advised the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on its $160 million investment into Mongolia, aimed at delivering long-term benefits for communities and ecosystems across the country.
IFC is partnering with Golomt Bank to deliver Mongolia’s first ‘blue’ finance transaction, providing a $160 million financing package with co-financing from Proparco. The funding will be used to promote sustainable water management, improve energy efficiency, and support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) — particularly those led by women or located in rural areas.
The Pinsent Masons team on the matter was led by James Harris (Partner, Singapore) and included Wei (Olivia) Wang (Senior Associate).
