Stephenson Harwood Advised Citic Europe Holdings on Sale of Invia Group
Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Citic Europe Holdings A.S. on the €250 million sale of Invia Group, a leading online travel agency in Central and Eastern Europe.
The firm represented Citic Europe Holdings, which held a 60% stake in European Bridge Travel (EBT) Group alongside Rockaway Capital Group, in relation to EBT’s sale of Invia Group to Wirtualna Polska, a Poland-based digital media and e-commerce company. Invia Group has over 1,200 employees and a dominant presence in the regional travel sector. The transaction involved complex interjurisdictional legal issues and represents a strategically significant disposal for Citic Europe Holdings.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by Jay Ze (Corporate Partner) and included Duncan Stiles (Corporate Partner), Lijuan Hou (Of Counsel), and Weiting Zhu and Matt Kinghorn (Associates). Additional support was provided by Dan Smith (Commercial Litigation Partner) and Chris Spiller (Associate), as well as Richard Freedman (Employment Partner).
