Zulficar & Partners Law Firm advised Apex International Energy L.P. in its pending transaction involving the divestment of its Egyptian upstream oil and gas exploration and production operations to United Energy (MENA) Limited. The transaction is expected to close upon the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent.
This strategic deal marks a significant step in Egypt’s upstream energy sector and is among the first transactions requiring approval under the new merger control regime implemented by the Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) in June 2024.
