ADNA Advised BUTEC on Financing of 50MW BOOT Thermal Power Project in Burkina Faso

The leading law firm in Africa, ADNA advised BUTEC on the financing of its 50MW BOOT fast-track thermal power project in Burkina Faso by Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP).

The strategic investment, valued at FCFA 26 billion (approximately EUR 40 million), comprises two thermal power plants located in key economic hubs—Kaya and Koudougou—and is aimed at securing and strengthening the country’s national electricity supply under a five-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The project is expected to become operational in Q1 2026 and underscores continued private sector commitment to advancing energy access and infrastructure resilience across Francophone Africa.

ADNA advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, working alongside CAPITAL OF AFRICA, which acted as financial advisor to the project, led by Khalil Chyat.
