Amadagana & Partners Advised Actis on Strategic Sale of Stake in Eneo Cameroon to the State of Cameroon

The Africa-based law firm, Amadagana & Partners advised Actis Investment Fund in connection with the first stage of the strategic sale of its 51% stake in Eneo Cameroon S.A. to the State of Cameroon, represented by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Energy. The transaction is valued at CFA 78 billion and follows several years of negotiations, culminating in the signing of the contract.

The firm worked closely alongside teams from Actis and Cameroon Power Holdings, as well as financial advisor FINANCIA Capital, in coordination with advisors from the Cameroonian government as part of the interministerial committee responsible for the negotiations under the leadership of the Ministry of Finance.

The transaction marks the successful completion of the first phase of an operation with significant national implications for Cameroon’s energy sector and is expected to be finalized shortly upon satisfaction of the conditions precedent.
