A&O Shearman advised SGTM on its IPO on Casablanca Stock Exchange

The major global law firm, A&O Shearman advised Société Générale des Travaux du Maroc (SGTM) on its initial public offering, Morocco. The IPO, conducted on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, raised over MAD 5 billion (over USD 500 million) through a sale of shares representing 20% of SGTM’s share capital. This marks SGTM’s first IPO as a private issuer and the second-largest IPO in Morocco.

SGTM is a leading Moroccan construction and civil engineering group, executing major infrastructure and landmark building projects across the country. Key projects include elements of the Hassan II Mosque civil works, Mohammed V Airport, Technopark and Twin Center towers, and ongoing developments for the 2030 World Cup, including the Hassan II Stadium in Casablanca.
