Debevoise & Plimpton LLP Advised BNY in Halyk Bank’s $475 Million Secondary Offering
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised BNY, acting as depositary bank for the global depositary receipt (“GDR”) program of Joint Stock Company Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan (“Halyk Bank”), in the offering by Joint Stock Company Holding Group ALMEX of 7.6% of Halyk Bank’s outstanding shares.
The offering consisted of shares and GDRs sold in accordance with Regulation S and Rule 144A under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933, as amended. The GDRs are listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Astana International Exchange. The total size of the offering was $475,410,000.
