The global law firm, Eversheds Sutherland acted as legal counsel to Savola Group in connection with its strategic partnership with Tiryaki Agro. Under the transaction, Tiryaki Anadolu, a subsidiary of Tiryaki Agro, acquired 100% of Savola Foods Türkiye, while Savola’s subsidiary, Afia International Company, acquired a strategic minority stake in the consolidated structure of Tiryaki Anadolu. The partnership aligns with Savola’s long-term growth strategy, enhancing its market presence in Türkiye and supporting broader regional ambitions.

Through this partnership, Tiryaki has added Türkiye’s leading edible oil brands, primarily Yudum, to its portfolio, strengthening its market position in the category.

The transaction is expected to enhance supply chain integration, improve operational efficiency, and support the continued development of Savola’s brands within a broader regional structure.

The Eversheds Sutherland transaction team was led by Zeid Hanania (Partner), with support from Steve Jennings (Partner), Rima Mahmoud (Principal Associate), and Associates Hanan Al Bashir and Faisal Al Shaikh. The team collaborated closely with Hergüner Bilgen Üçer Avukatlık Ortaklığı, which provided Turkish law advice to Savola Group.
