HEUKING team advised the Luxembourg insolvency administrator on the sale of four shopping centers from the Highstreet VIII fund.

The properties sold are Shopping-Plaza Garbsen, Stern Center Sindelfingen, City Rondell in Villingen-Schwenningen, and Vechte Arkaden in Nordhorn. The buyers include both regional project developers and portfolio investors as well as supra-regional shopping center operators.

The Luxembourg property companies holding the assets have been subject to insolvency proceedings before Luxembourg Commercial Court since 2025. With the court’s approval, the insolvency administrator had subsequently initiated the sales process.

HEUKING advised the Luxembourg insolvency administrator comprehensively on all legal and tax aspects of the transaction, including matters at the intersection of German and Luxembourg insolvency law.
