Latham & Watkins acted for Sublime Systems with its US$40 Million Series A Funding

Latham & Watkins LLP, an American multinational law firm, has represented Sublime Systems in a $40 million Series A funding round.

Sublime Systems is a company that develops technology for producing decarbonised cement. They have closed a funding round, which was led by Lowercarbon Capital, a fund that focuses on investing in climate-related technology. The round also saw participation from existing investors including The Engine, Energy Impact Partners, and others.

The company plans to use the new funding to increase production at its pilot plant, hire additional staff, conduct product testing, and secure agreements for purchasing its products from new customers and partners.

Latham & Watkins which has been associated with Sublime Systems since its incorporation represented the company in the financing with a Boston-based team led by corporate partner Dan Hoffman, with associates Martha Anderson and Daniel McCarthy. Advice on IP matters was also provided by partner Sarah Gagan.
