Linklaters advised the underwriters on SierraCol Energy’s US$650 million high-yield financing

The multinational law firm, Linklaters advised the underwriters on SierraCol Energy’s high-yield financing involving the issuance of senior notes with an aggregate principal amount of US$650 million. The bond proceeds were utilised to fund a tender offer for a portion of the company’s existing high-yield notes and to make a distribution to shareholders.

Linklaters also advised the lenders on the amendment and extension of SierraCol Energy’s US$150 million revolving credit facility.

SierraCol Energy is the largest independent exploration and production company in Colombia and is a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group.

The Linklaters high-yield team was led by Alexander Naidenov (Partner), supported by Dami Banire (Associate) and Juan Diego Tibaduiza (Associate).
