Ropes & Gray Advised Blackstone in 7AI Investment

Ropes & Gray represented Blackstone Innovations Investments (BXII) in its investment in 7AI, an agentic AI cybersecurity company, which raised $130 million in a Series A funding round. The round closed on December 2, and also included participation from Greylock, CRV, and Spark. The funding round represents the largest cybersecurity Series A in history and comes just ten months after the company launched from stealth in February 2025.

BXII invests in early-stage companies that are well-positioned to benefit from a deeper relationship with Blackstone.

The team was led by emerging companies Brad Flint (Partner) and Michael Ragan (Associate).
