The leading Egyptian law firm, Sharkawy & Sarhan acted as Egyptian legal counsel to Alcazar Energy Partners on its landmark acquisition of the Siemens 500 MW NIAT wind farm project in Egypt. The transaction represents a major milestone in Egypt’s renewable energy transition and in enabling large-scale foreign investment within the sector.
The NIAT wind farm is positioned to become one of Egypt’s most significant clean energy assets. Once operational, the project is expected to generate 2.5 TWh of clean energy annually, reduce more than 1.2 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions, and supply electricity to approximately 280,000 households, contributing substantially to Egypt’s national sustainability and energy-security goals.
