White & Case Advised Actis on Telekom Srbija Tower Acquisition Deal

Global law firm White & Case LLP served as legal counsel to Actis in its landmark acquisition of a newly created tower portfolio from Telekom Srbija, a leading Central & Eastern European telecommunications operator.

"This is an extremely exciting transaction for Actis and is intended to be its cornerstone platform investment for towers in the region," said White & Case partner Sandra Rafferty, who led the firm's deal team.

"We have supported Actis on a transaction in a sector that is forecast to expand significantly in Central & Eastern Europe and the western Balkans in the coming years," Rafferty added.

The transaction involves a substantial portfolio of 1,800 macro towers, spread across Serbia (1,000), Bosnia & Herzegovina (700), and Montenegro (100).

The deal includes the creation of an independent Actis-controlled Towerco, partnering with Telekom Srbija through a long-term Master Services Agreement (MSA). This makes Telekom Srbija the anchor tenant and a key player in future growth.

Spanning five continents with 17 offices and a team of more than 120 dedicated professionals, Actis manages over $12.5 billion in assets and has raised $25 billion since its inception, solidifying its position as a leading global investor in sustainable infrastructure.

Telekom Srbija reigns as a leading telecommunications operator across Central & Eastern Europe, serving Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

The White & Case team that played a key role in advising on the transaction was spearheaded by partner Sandra Rafferty based in London. The team included local partners Fraser Galloway, Philip Vavalidis (both Dubai), and Jan Stejskal (Prague), as well as partners Vit Stehlik (Prague), Philip Trilmich, Jessica Kemp, Marc Israel, and Simon Caridia (all London). Also contributing were local partner Karel Petrzela (Prague), counsel Pavel Cizek (Prague), and associates Heidi Blomqvist, Claire Slunecko, Lily Teh, Alice Parsons, Kate Kelliher, Hannah Bragge, James Foo, and Shamim Khan (all London), along with James Ateh, Charles Tuckwell, and Adnan Bekdur (all Dubai).
