Elan Group Elevates Hema Sukhija as Vice President – Legal

Elan Group has elevated Hema Sukhija to the position of Vice President – Legal. With over 24 years of post-qualification experience, Hema is a seasoned legal professional, widely recognized for her extensive expertise in India’s real estate sector.

She has been a vital part of the Elan Group, a leading real estate developer headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana. In her previous role as Assistant Vice President – Legal, Hema was entrusted with key responsibilities including negotiating and executing high-value transactions—from financial deals and land transactions to collaborations, leasing, construction contracts, marketing contracts, litigation management, and customer documentation.

Since joining Elan Group, she has played an instrumental role in land collaborations, facilitated funding transactions amounting to ₹1,200 crores, and contributed to high-end luxury real estate documentation, leasing, and strategic contract management.

Hema Sukhija’s career trajectory reflects her dedication and capability in handling complex legal frameworks:

• She was Senior General Manager (Legal) at Advance India Projects Limited (AIPL) from October 2020 to July 2024, where she led major documentation efforts and participated in high-value litigation and arbitration matters in collaboration with senior counsels and law firms.
• From August 2017 to October 2020, she served as General Manager (Legal) at M3M Group, playing a crucial role in land acquisition, joint developments, due diligence, customer documentation, and litigation.
• Her earlier stints include working as Assistant General Manager (Legal) at RG Group, where she supported litigation, fund-raising, labour compliance, arbitration, and trademark matters; and as Deputy General Manager (Legal) at TDI Group, where she oversaw civil and criminal litigation, agreement vetting, and finance team support.
• From 2005 to 2011, she was associated with Ansal Properties Group, contributing to collaborations, leasing, and litigation management.

Throughout her career, Hema has handled joint ventures, fund-raising, RERA compliance, due diligence, and leasing deals, including successful negotiations with international brands. Her strategic approach, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to legal excellence have earned her multiple recognitions, including:

• Certificate for Outstanding Achievement by M3M
