Kocho, a digital identity and cybersecurity services provider, has appointed Srijit Mukherjee as its Group General Counsel, strengthening its legal leadership amid continued growth and increasing regulatory complexity in the technology sector.
Mukherjee is a seasoned legal professional with over two decades of experience advising high-growth companies, founders, and boards across the IT, telecom, and digital services sectors. In his new role, he will lead Kocho’s global legal function, supporting strategic expansion, governance, and risk management across jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Kocho, Mukherjee served as Group General Counsel at Node4 Limited from May 2024 to November 2025. Before that, he held senior legal leadership roles at several global organizations, including HCLTech as Senior Legal Director, as well as Genpact, Accenture, Wipro, and Bharti Airtel, where he played a key role in shaping complex commercial strategies, procurement frameworks, and dispute management systems.
Mukherjee’s practice spans cross-border mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial litigation, and regulatory advisory, with particular expertise in emerging technology laws, including artificial intelligence, data privacy, cybersecurity, and crypto-related regulations. He is widely regarded as a business-oriented, techno-commercial lawyer with deep experience navigating regulatory change in fast-scaling environments.
He is a graduate of the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata (Class of 2005) and holds a master’s degree in Cyber Law and Information Security from IIIT. His contributions to the legal profession have earned him recognition as “General Counsel of the Year” and a “Legal Thought Leader.”
The appointment reflects Kocho’s focus on building strong legal and governance foundations as it continues to expand its digital identity and cybersecurity offerings globally.
