Former SAM Partner Akshay Sachthey Joins Pine Labs
Akshay Sachthey, formerly a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, has joined Pine Labs as Director – Legal (Global Strategic Investments).
Sachthey is an alumnus of the Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Delhi. He brings over a decade of experience in corporate and business advisory, mergers and acquisitions, and investment transactions, including inbound and outbound investments, along with extensive expertise in commercial contracts and regulatory advisory.
At Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, Sachthey was a Partner in the firm’s General Corporate practice. Prior to this, he spent over eight years at Phoenix Legal, where he progressed through roles including Associate, Senior Associate, Principal Associate, and Associate Partner.
Commenting on the move, Sachthey said,

Throughout his career, Sachthey has advised clients on a wide range of matters, from routine advisory and compliance to contentious and pre-dispute situations, across sectors such as insurance and reinsurance, retail, FMCG, healthcare, fintech, gaming and gambling, media, IT and ITeS, manufacturing, and real estate.
