Lloyds Technology Centre India, part of Lloyds Banking Group, has appointed Vijayalakshmi Natarajan as General Counsel. In her new role, she will lead the legal function and play a pivotal role in enabling technology innovation, governance, and growth in India.
She brings extensive experience in corporate legal leadership, compliance, regulatory strategy, and governance across leading global, technology-driven organisations. Her career includes leadership roles at HARMAN India, Microsoft, Fidelity Investments, HCLTech, and Tata Teleservices, where she partnered with business and technology teams to enable innovation while ensuring strong legal and compliance foundations.
Commenting on her new role, Natarajan said,

Vijayalakshmi is an alumna of the University of Madras, holding a Masters in International Law, and a Chevening Gurukul Fellow in Leadership & Excellence from the University of Oxford.
In her role, she will be a key member of the senior leadership team, helping steer strategic priorities, strengthening legal and governance capabilities, and joining Jo Carver’s Group Legal Management Team within Lloyds Banking Group to ensure alignment between Lloyds Technology Centre India and the wider Group Legal function. Beyond her professional experience, she is passionate about building high-performing teams, mentoring emerging talent, and championing women in leadership.
