ValueQuest Investment Advisors has appointed Hemanti Wadhwa as Head of Department – Compliance, Legal & Secretarial, where she will lead the firm’s compliance, legal, and secretarial functions.
In her new role, Wadhwa will spearhead the Compliance, Legal & Secretarial function with a focus on transitioning the organisation towards a more institutionalised structure. She brings extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, particularly in SEBI regulations relating to Portfolio Managers and Alternative Investment Funds, along with exposure to global regulatory frameworks including the US SEC, MAS, HMRC and FZCO.
Prior to joining ValueQuest Investment Advisors, Wadhwa was a Founding Member and Head – Compliance, Legal & Secretarial at Jio BlackRock Asset Management Pvt Ltd, where she played a key role in setting up the asset management company, trustee company, wealth management entity and the Jio BlackRock Mutual Fund, while ensuring compliance with SEBI regulations and regulatory due diligence.
Earlier in her career, she held senior legal and compliance leadership roles at Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Limited, IL&FS Infra Asset Management Ltd, BNP Paribas Asset Management India Pvt Ltd, Deutsche Asset Management, SBI Funds Management, and Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Limited, building over two decades of experience in the asset management and financial services sector.
Sharing the update, Wadhwa said,

Wadhwa is a 2002 alumna of the University of Mumbai, where she completed her MCom and LLB, and is also a Fellow Company Secretary (FCS).
Her appointment is expected to strengthen ValueQuest Investment Advisors’ governance and regulatory framework as the firm continues to scale its investment platform and institutional capabilities.
