The Muthoot Group has appointed Abhijeet Shinde as Head of Legal. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading and managing PAN India litigation across multiple financial products of the Group, while strengthening its legal and compliance framework.
Shinde brings over a decade of experience in legal roles across leading financial institutions, with a strong focus on litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining The Muthoot Group, he served as Senior Legal Manager at Profectus Capital, where he handled litigation matters across India, including recovery proceedings, audits, and compliance-related issues.
Earlier in his career, he held key positions at Aditya Birla Group as Team Lead, IndusInd Bank as Deputy Manager, and Kotak Mahindra Bank as Legal Officer. Across these roles, he gained extensive experience in handling high-volume litigation, representing organizations before judicial authorities, and managing legal risks associated with financial services operations.
A 2015 graduate of the University of Mumbai, Shinde has developed strong expertise in managing complex legal and litigation matters across jurisdictions. His appointment is expected to further strengthen The Muthoot Group’s legal capabilities and support its growing business operations across India.
